Job summary

Arcadis is seeking a Staff Electrical Engineer to support federal facilities projects for US government agencies. You will contribute deep electrical design expertise to multiple concurrent efforts, delivering construction-ready packages and ensuring scope compliance.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, navigate strict federal standards (UFC, NFPA, NEC) and use tools like ETAP, Revit, AutoCAD, and SKM. Travel ~20% for site visits and client engagement is required.

Qualifications

  • U.S. Citizenship required for federal project work.
  • Minimum 5 years of consulting engineering experience in facility design with extensive focus on federal government/agency projects.
  • Proven experience delivering IFC design packages for federal facilities.
  • Active PE license in the U.S. is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on electrical design across multiple concurrent federal projects.
  • Produce construction-ready design packages reflecting design documentation and scope compliance.
  • Design facilities focused on USACE or NAVFAC with focus on SCIFs, ICD 705 compliance, TEMPEST shielding.
  • Ensure compliance with UFC, UFGS, NFPA, NEC, NESC, NETA, ANSI, IEEE, UL, UBC, IEC, CE, EN.
  • Engage with multidisciplinary teams and federal clients; travel ~20% for site visits.

In this role, you'll bring your deep expertise in facility design to high-profile projects for U.S. Government agencies. As a trusted Federal Designer, you'll support electrical design across multiple concurrent projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and federal clients to deliver innovative, sustainable solutions.Expect variety, challenge, and the opportunity to influence critical infrastructure.
