Job summary

Brown and Caldwell, headquartered in Walnut Creek, CA, is seeking an Electrical Revit Designer to design complex electrical systems using Revit and AutoCAD. The role involves wiring diagrams, equipment layout, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and project specifications.

You will mentor junior staff and work with minimal supervision under a licensed engineer. The position emphasizes proficiency in electrical drawing development, cable tray design, and gate-based detailing

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of electrical design or related experience.

Job description

The Electrical Revit Designer role has responsibility for the design and development of complex electrical systems utilizing Revit and AutoCAD, including wiring diagrams and electrical system layouts, along with assisting less experienced team members. This role ensures designs meet regulatory requirements, project specifications and design gate requirements. The role applies skills to complete a broad range of tasks and often completes assignments with limited supervision and exercises latitude for independent judgement. The role can make decisions limited to a narrow scope of responsibilities as determined by a licensed engineer.

Responsibilities

• May provide mentorship, guidance, support, and knowledge-sharing to help less experienced team members develop their skills and grow within their roles.

Skills and Competencies

Experience

Education

• An associate’s degree in electrical engineering technology, electrical drafting, or related field or equivalent experience is required.

Salary Range:

Theanticipatedstarting payrange for this position is based on the employee’s primary work location and maybemore or lessdependingupon skills, experience,and education. These ranges may be modified in the future.

Location A: $30.70 - $41.90

Location B: $34.10 - $46.20

Location C: $37.00 - $50.50
