We are seeking resumes for an Electrical Reliability Engineer in our Valdosta, GA. Paper Mill.
The Electrical Reliability Engineer is responsible for coordinating the planning, organizing, and completion of mill reliability programs within the area of assigned responsibility. The engineer will help to define and participate in the development of electrical reliability programs to improve maintain and improve reliability of electrical machinery in the mill. This includes providing technical direction, assistance, and solutions to maintenance and operating personnel.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage all phases of developing key maintenance programs from conception through final implementation.
- Work with key maintenance and engineering personnel to support daily, monthly scheduled maintenance outages and annual outage jobs within electrical maintenance and engineering.
- Perform crossover activities to mechanical maintenance programs to deliver complete programs for all equipment types.
- Collaborate with mechanical maintenance/engineering and operations personnel to complete electrical or mechanical maintenance projects and programs including training, stocking of spare parts, preventive maintenance checklists, drawing creation and updates, etc.
- Support the Mill's goals for safety, environmental, and other areas of need.
- Focus on electrical equipment reliability.
- Manage equipment tracking and rebuild programs.
- Utilize predictive & preventive maintenance programs to identify and correct equipment issues.
- Input and update equipment information and documentation.
- Develop equipment manuals for precision inspection and maintenance.
- Manage area equipment PM and maintenance programs.
- Manage assigned work for monthly and annual outages.
- Assist with MS Project timelines for monthly and annual outages.
- Plan and execute capital projects for maintenance replacements of equipment.
- Effectively manage jobs for best result at lowest cost.
- Look for opportunities to solve issues, reduce cost, and improve planning performance.
- Solve problems utilizing the mill's RCFA program.
- Manage contractors for performing jobs.
- Perform other responsibilities as needed.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent education and experience required.
- A minimum of 2-5 years' experience, or the equivalent, in Electrical maintenance.
- Experience using Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Project, and AutoCAD.
- Successful completion of drug screen required and authorization to work in the U.S.
Preferred Qualifications
- Pulp & Paper industry experience preferred.
