Job summary

Grand Design RV is seeking an Electrical Quality Specialist to oversee electrical engineering, testing, and code compliance for production lines. You will collaborate with Production and PDI departments to ensure safe, reliable RV electrical systems.

In this role you will learn line models, inspect wiring, troubleshoot issues, and ensure adherence to RVIA standards and Grand Design standards while supporting continuous improvement and quality initiatives.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Good working knowledge of electricity.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Willingness to travel up to 20%.

Responsibilities

• Learn production line models – including wiring and hookup.
• Inspect electrical wiring on production line.
• Help troubleshoot electrical issues that arise as time allows.
• Learn RVIA standards and Grand Design standards.
• Help train and educate production employees.
• Inspect, identify, communicate and educate on issues.
• Implement wire harnesses.

Grand Design is currently sourcing a Electrical Quality Specialist to join our team. As a Grand Design team member in this role, you will oversee electrical engineering, testing, and code compliance for assigned production lines while collaborating directly with Production and PDI departments.

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Learn production line models - including wiring and hookup.
• Inspect electrical wiring on production line.
• Help troubleshoot electrical issues that arise as time allows.
• Learn RVIA standards and Grand Design always/never standards.
• Help train and education production employees.
• Inspect, Identify, Communicate and Educate on issues.
• Implementation of Wire Harnesses.

Education & Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Good working knowledge of electricity.
• Good communication with people.
• Ability to work without direct supervision.
• Willingness to teach.
• Being able to climb up and down ladders/steps.
• Using Multimeters.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to work in a dusty, noisy environment.
• Able to bend, lift, and reach frequently.
• Elevated work.
• Fast pace online.
• Working on ladders, units, also on concrete.
• Able to work early and extended hours, if needed.
• Attendance is critical.
• Possibility of travel 10-20%.
