Job summary

Actalent is seeking an Electrical Quality Control Inspector for a data center construction project in Barstow, TX. The role focuses on ensuring electrical installations meet stringent quality, safety, and compliance standards on a mission-critical build.

You will work with the QA/QC Manager and PM team to inspect, document, and coordinate corrective actions, maintaining records and promoting a culture of safety and continuous improvement on the jobsite.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and installations.
• Experience in commercial/industrial construction environments.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel/Word).
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform quality inspections throughout all phases of electrical construction.
• Verify installations, materials, and workmanship meet plans, specs, codes and standards.
• Conduct routine field inspections and site walks to identify deficiencies and support corrective actions.
• Monitor daily construction activities and report progress and quality concerns to leadership.
• Ensure work aligns with approved drawings, schedules and requirements.
• Support coordination between subcontractors and trades to minimize conflicts.
• Track, document and follow up on punch list items through completion.
• Coordinate inspections with local authorities, third-party inspectors, and clients.
• Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation.
• Promote safety, quality, and continuous improvement on site.

What You'll Do

As an Electrical Quality Control Inspector, you will partner with the QA/QC Manager and Project Management team to help ensure construction activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications and client expectations.

• Perform quality inspections throughout all phases of electrical construction.

What We're Looking For

• High School Diploma or GED.
• OSHA 30 Certification.
• Strong understanding of electrical systems and installations.
• Experience working in commercial or industrial construction environments.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and electrical plans.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and Word.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate degree or construction-related education.
• 1-3 years of electrical construction, quality control, or construction field experience.
• Experience supporting large-scale commercial, industrial, mission-critical, or data center projects.
• Familiarity with Procore, CXAlloy, or other construction management and commissioning software.
• Knowledge of construction scheduling, sequencing, and quality management processes.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Barstow, TX.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
