Miller Electric Company is seeking a Data Center Construction - Project Manager in Richmond, VA. You will report to the Director and VP in a client-facing role, shaping project scope, budgets, and schedules for large-scale IT/Telecom infra and data center installations.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Electrical Construction Project Management experience.
• 1+ years building large scale IT/Telecommunications Infrastructure projects including Data Centers.
• Experience with Data Center electrical distribution systems and cabling.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with company, client, and project policies.
• Maintain site safety and adhere to national policies.
• Generate estimates and review project proposals.
• Set timelines, budgets, and resource allocation for projects up to $100M.
• Supervise project execution to meet design, budget, and schedule requirements.
• Collaborate with customers to clarify expectations before, during, and after completion.
• Coordinate with vendors for procurement and delivery.
• Lead early billing and frequent collection efforts.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address issues.
• Develop and maintain client and employee relationships.
• Plan future labor/material needs with leadership.
• Provide reports to senior management and forecast financial direction.
• Develop project scopes and budgets; manage RFps and Change Management.
• Mentor subordinates to support development.

Data Center Construction- Project Manager

Salary Range: $132,433.28 – $185,407.04

As a Project Manager, you’ll report directly to the Director and VP in a client‑facing role that requires building strong relationships both in and outside the office. You’ll develop through hands‑on experience, peer collaboration, and ongoing technical training.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Supervise project execution to meet design, budget, and schedule requirements

• Work directly with vendors to ensure timely procurement and delivery
• Lead efforts for billing early and collecting often
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress and address issues
• Develop and maintain strong client and employee relationships
• Assist leadership in the planning of future labor/material needs of the project
• Provide consistent reports and updates to senior management
• Forecast financial direction to course correct as needed
• Develop project scopes and budgets
• Manage RFPs and Change Management Forms
• Mentor subordinates to support their development

Qualifications

Education & Experience

REQUIRED

• 3+ years of Electrical Construction Project Management experience
• 1+ years building large scale, complex IT/Telecommunications Infrastructure projects, including Data Centers installations
• Experience with Data Center electrical distribution systems, cabling, and white space fit-out
• Experience with retrofits in operational facilities and cross-discipline critical facility systems
• Strong computer skills and quick to learn new systems
• Ability to work calmly under deadlines and external pressure
• Effective scheduling and delegation to accomplish tasks on time
• Commitment to continuous improvement of communication, organization and leadership skills
• Tactful conflict resolution and problem-solving abilities
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship. Employment-based visa sponsorship (including H-1B sponsorship) is not available for this position.

PREFERRED

• Mission Critical Project experience
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Project Management, Construction Management, Business, Engineering, etc.), paired with industry experience OR an overall appropriate combination of certification(s), experience, and education (journeyman or master electrician’s license)
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or PMI-Scheduling Professional (SP)
• Experience with Google Suite, Salesforce, and ConEst
