Job summary

Riggs Distler is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee electrical construction projects from preconstruction to commissioning. The role focuses on data center work in the Phoenix metro area, with responsibilities spanning budgeting, scheduling, safety, and stakeholder coordination.

Applicants should have 5+ years of progressive PM experience in electrical construction, knowledge of large-scale systems, and proficiency in Procore and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; equivalent combination allowed.
• 5+ years of progressive project management experience in electrical construction or major infrastructure projects.
• Experience managing data center, mission critical, commercial, industrial, manufacturing, healthcare, semiconductor, or similar complex electrical projects.
• Experience with large scale electrical systems including medium voltage distribution, switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS, battery systems, and critical power infrastructure.
• Ability to read electrical drawings, specifications, contracts, and project schedules; travel to project locations as required.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical construction projects from preconstruction to closeout.
• Lead Assistant Project Managers, Project Engineers, Superintendents, and craft personnel.
• Promote safe work practices and conditions on all projects.
• Develop and monitor budgets, cost forecasts, schedules, manpower plans, and cash flow.
• Track progress against goals, schedules, budgets, and contractual requirements.
• Monitor costs, productivity, and procurement; manage change orders and RFIs.
• Coordinate project meetings and clarify design/scope issues with stakeholders.
• Maintain comprehensive project records and ensure proper documentation.
