Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company seeks a Principal Project Engineer to lead delivery of instrumentation and monitoring systems for multiple plant projects. The role reports to the RMS/SMS program and involves technical leadership, project management, and cross-functional collaboration.

Hybrid work at the New Stanton, PA facility is expected. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's in engineering, 8+ years of relevant experience, and familiarity with AP1000/APR1400/AP300.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering.
• At least 8 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience on AP1000, APR1400, or AP300 preferred.
• Knowledge of project management principles and a strong desire to work in a technical project management role.
• Cognizance in Integrated Systems Engineering; Instrumentation and Monitoring Systems; Product Development; and IV&V including Test Engineering.
• Establish effective networks across various functional areas across departments.
• Ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 10% for peak times.

Responsibilities

• Drive engineering delivery of RMS, SMS, IIS, sensors, and TEDEV to support various projects/programs.
• Manage and coordinate project/program requests and reconcile into engineering scopes of work.
• Develop, manage, and drive schedule and budget.
• Coordinate resource loading with Resource Managers.
• Identify gaps between scope, estimates, schedules, and resources; drive recovery plans.
