You’ll also work within the project’s monetary budget while training, mentoring, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet project goals and client expectations.**Principal Responsibilities*** Lead design efforts for the analysis of electrical systems, utilizing engineering software and tools to create detailed designs, specifications, and calculations according to code requirements and IMEG standards* Interact with clients to understand needs, gather project requirements, and communicate technical information effectively while building and maintaining client relationships* Lead project planning, budgeting, and scheduling tasks to meet project deadlines and objectives* Document design decisions and client instructions while monitoring project design progress related to percent complete and fee expended* Analyze engineering problems and propose solutions in collaboration with senior engineers and consultants* Provide in-process design reviews of electrical system design, calculations, and specifications* Implement IMEG quality control processes to ensure designs meet IMEG quality standards, industry standards, and client requirements* Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in electrical engineering, contributing to research, development, and innovation efforts within IMEG* Prioritize safety in all aspects of engineering work, identifying and mitigating potential safety risks associated with electrical systems* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including other engineers, architects, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions that meet project goals* Identify potential project problems and seek advice from the Project Manager* Oversee projects through bidding and construction administration phase**Required Qualifications and Skills*** Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent required* Professional Engineer (PE) License preferred* 2 years of experience minimum required, 4 preferred, in the building design consulting industry* Proficiency in design techniques, tools, and concepts involved in the production of technical plans and specifications* Strong technical and analytical skills including knowledge of principles relating to circuit theory, electromagnetism, power systems, and electronics as they relate to electrical systems design for buildings* Proficient with industry standard engineering software and tools including lighting photometric calculation software such as AGI, Elum Tools, Visual Lighting, or other; power system analysis and design software such as SKM/PTW, Easy Power, or other; and energy compliance software such as ComCheck.
