Job summary

TechniPower, Inc. in Crosby, TX seeks an Electrical Project Engineer to own the electrical design basis and technical compliance while also owning the contract, the schedule, and the job cost — driving the project from proposal through FAT and final turnover.

This temp-to-perm role is on-site and requires experience with EPC capital projects, NEC/UL codes, and field issue resolution; collaboration with owners and EPCs is essential to ensure safe, compliant, and on-time project delivery.

Qualifications

• BSEE preferred.
• 7–10 years of combined experience in electrical equipment design (PDCs, E-Houses, switchgear, or MCC packages) and project execution on EPC capital projects.
• Minimum 2–4 years running or co-running direct contracts with a Tier 1 EPC, ideally including at least one completed capital project in LNG, midstream, power generation, or large data center work.
• Knowledge of NEC (Art. 110.26, 240.87, 250, 310, 409, 450), UL standards, NFPA, IEEE codes and arc flash.
• Experience supporting site commissioning or resolving field issues remotely is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Own the electrical design basis and technical compliance while also owning the contract, the schedule, and the job cost.
• Drive the project from proposal through Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) and final turnover.
• Support or lead on-site activities and coordinate with owners/EPCs to ensure safe, compliant, and on-time delivery.
