Job summary

Smulders seeks an Electrical Project Engineer to coordinate electrical drafting within project teams and guide designers through the lifecycle. You will prepare schedules and documentation, convert assembly drawings into detailed installation drawings, and optimise designs while coordinating external partners and ensuring compliance with standards.

Fluent Dutch and English are required, with experience in offshore, renewable energy, or steel construction being a strong advantage.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical/Electromechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience with electrical systems design and drafting software.
• Several years in a similar engineering role preferred.
• Offshore, renewable energy or steel construction experience is a major advantage.
• Fluent in Dutch and English (written and spoken).
• Knowledge of ISO standards and safety procedures.
• Willingness to obtain a VCA VOL certificate.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and distribute electrical drafting activities within the project team.
• Guide and support designers and drafters through the project lifecycle.
• Prepare drawing schedules, registers and project documentation.
• Develop installation drawings from assembly drawings and optimise designs.
• Coordinate and monitor external engineering partners for quality and efficiency.
• Align electrical and structural interfaces and review feasibility and materials.
• Ensure designs meet contractual specs, standards and project requirements.
• Monitor planning, budget, quality targets and documentation procedures.
• Support successful project execution through effective communication and coordination.
