Job summary

wbengineering is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to deliver and support electrical design services for building systems, including power, lighting, and fire alarm components. You will ensure designs comply with codes and safety standards while adhering to WB production and design guidelines.

Collaborate with architects and engineers to integrate electrical systems into new buildings, incorporating energy-efficient technologies, and estimating costs to keep projects within budget.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or similar.
• Equivalent of 5-7 years of relevant professional experience.
• Revit experience preferred, high proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Comprehensive understanding of applicable design and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and support the electrical design related services for building systems across various projects—power, lighting, fire alarm, and other electrical components for buildings.
• Ensure electrical designs meet building codes, safety standards, and regulations set by local authorities and align drawings with company standards.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other professionals to integrate electrical systems into building designs.
• Incorporate energy-efficient technologies and practices to minimize energy consumption and environmental impact.
• Estimate the costs associated with electrical designs and keep projects within budget constraints.
• Oversee testing and commissioning of electrical systems to ensure performance requirements are met.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues during design, construction, or operation.
• Create detailed drawings, specifications, and documentation to guide construction and maintenance.
• Keep current with advancements in electrical engineering technologies, codes, and standards.
• Perform construction administration and field investigations for lighting, power and fire alarm systems.
• Collaborate with Technical Leaders and Sr. Engineers to ensure WB standards and scope management.
• Attend project meetings and site visits.
