Job description

Weston & Sampson is seeking a motivated, proactive individual to work within our growing electrical group as an Electrical Engineer. The ideal candidate will have experience in the design and construction administration working in a multi‑disciplinary professional engineering firm involved in the production of contract documents. This individual will support our growing internal and external clients serving the educational, commercial, water, wastewater and municipal industries. A solid understanding of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, emergency power generation and the NEC is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering and design for both new and renovation projects for a variety of facility types within the public, private and municipal sectors.
• Production of contract drawings, field investigations, shop drawings, reports and participation in project meetings.
• Coordinate with multi‑disciplinary personnel located in local and regional offices, working with sub‑consultants, equipment vendors and clients.
• Work independently with minimal oversight and initiate coordination with other building system disciplines.

Qualifications

• Engineer/Technical degree or equivalent experience
• Minimum of 7 years of experience working in an engineering firm
• Experience with AutoCAD and Revit
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Strong problem‑solving skills
• Demonstrate leadership skills
• Familiar with electrical aspects of building codes and design manuals
• Diverse and proven electrical design experience.
• Valid driver’s license

Salary Range: $110,000 - $150,000 depending on experience
