Job summary

McGraw Kokosing is seeking a Project Engineer to support the implementation of electrical systems for large-scale industrial construction projects in Middletown, OH. The role entails taking projects from pre-construction through final acceptance, with responsibility for budget, schedule, vendor management, submittals, and procedures.

You will manage project engineering activities, ensure compliance with contract requirements, and coordinate with internal teams to meet safety and quality

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as a construction project engineer.
• Proven ability to interpret drawings and specifications.
• Strong understanding of project controls and safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead project engineering activities and assign tasks to team members.
• Ensure compliance with contract requirements and project schedule.
• Prepare vendor quotes for materials and equipment.
• Track material deliveries and submittals.
• Coordinate with departments to manage budgeting and staffing.
• Review design drawings and vendor submittals.
• Monitor crew assignments to meet productivity goals.
• Conduct field walks to verify work progress and safety.

Job Description

This individual will be supporting a team to implementation of electrical systems for large scale industrial construction projects. They will be involved in mission critical projects, taking the project from pre-construction through final acceptance to successfully completion. Directly responsible for project budget, schedule and job controls, vendor management, submittals and procedures.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Manage project engineering and related personnel functions and activities. Includes planning procurement, design review, project controls, work assignments, etc.
• Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support overall construction schedule
• Prepare documents to obtain quotes from vendors to provide material, equipment, and other specialty items.
• Track material deliveries.
• Interface with departments, divisions, and internal staff on issues related to budgeting, staffing, discipline of employees, training/development, scheduling and other activities involving discretion and judgment.
• Review engineering plans and vendor submittals.
• Monitor crew assignments to ensure productivity goals are met.
• Conduct field walks and spot checks of work being performed.
• Ensure compliance with county, state and OSHA policies and regulations.

Required Skills

• 2+ years similar construction Project Engineer.
• Degree in Electrical Engineering or Construction Management
