Job Summary

Miller Electric - Prefabrication Designer reports to the Prefabrication Manager. Responsibilities are focused on supporting Prefabrication Initiatives for the Company. In this role you will contribute to the overall success of the company by performing all assigned duties in a professional, timely, and accurate manner.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Create Prefabrication Solutions for Construction Projects
• Coordinate with Prefabrication Manager on inputs required for Prefabrication Execution
• Provide input on Prefabrication Process
• Create documentation that will inform Prefabrication Team what to build utilizing AutoCAD, Revit, Excel, and Bluebeam
• Edit and track Prefabrication schedules
• Aids in the creation of detailed bill of materials
• Performs other duties as assigned by management
• Demonstrates problem‑solving ability and can work under rigorous schedules
• Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast‑paced environment

Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and documentation
• Understanding of construction project flows and sequences
• Minimum 5 years of commercial electrical experience with a focus on conduit fabrication and installation
• Experience running crews of electricians preferred
• Membership in the IBEW required as a condition for employment (if not currently a member)
• Ability to draw, dimension, and communicate ideas
• Ability to research and comprehend materials, tools, and equipment
• Experience with Navisworks or Autodesk Construction Cloud preferred
• Basic AutoCAD and/or Revit preferred
• Bluebeam preferred
• Willingness to learn and efficiently use software such as Bluebeam, Microsoft 365, and file‑sharing platforms
• COINS experience preferred

Physical Demands

• Ability to work in an industrial environment
• Ability to maneuver 25+ lbs on a regular basis
• Ability to withstand extended exposure to a computer monitor, which may at times be training on the eyes
