Job summary

Progressive Design, Inc. in Richmond, VA is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support a large engineering firm on transmission and solar projects in Virginia.

This full-time role offers a development program where you start as an Assistant Project Manager and advance after about a year toward a Project Manager role. Candidates must be an Electrical Engineering graduate or from another engineering discipline with heavy industrial project management exposure.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Electrical Engineering preferred, other engineering disciplines considered.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Excellent multitasking skills.
• Ability to work under pressure with minimal supervision.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Detail oriented and highly organized.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning and implementing multiple projects.
• Coordinate and manage project tasks and deliverables.
• Support scope, schedule, and budgets management.
• Conduct meetings, draft invoices, and draw estimates.
• Track and report project progress.
• Maintain clear communication among all team members.
