Job summary

Echo Electric—the leading electrical distributor under Sonepar—seeks a Panel Technician & Assembler in Illinois. You will assemble electrical and mechanical projects, drill, cut, wire, and mount components per schematics. The role collaborates with project engineers to ensure on-time delivery and compliance with NEC/UL standards.

We offer a 7 AM–4 PM, Monday–Friday shift with pay at $23–$25 per hour. Join a team backed by strong local roots and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High school diploma and/or technical degree.
• Ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Experience with electrical/mechanical assembly is preferred.
• Comfort working around 480V, 120V, and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Receive project assignments and follow layouts and schematics.
• Assemble, mount, and wire components per drawings and templates.
• Test and troubleshoot completed projects and connect devices.
• Maintain safety standards and use PPE for 480V/120V systems.
• Coordinate with project engineers to meet schedules and timelines.
• Prepare and ship finished assemblies per instructions.
