Job summary

California Water Service Group (Cal Water) seeks an Electrical Mechanical Technician for the Stockton district. You will install, maintain, and repair electrical and electronic control systems, PLCs, VFDs, and hydraulic valves, and document work in Maximo.

Five years of electrical/construction experience and 240/480V system expertise are required; 30-minute residency within the district is necessary. A CA driver license is mandatory, with apprenticeship or electrician licenses desired.

Qualifications

• Five years in electrical/construction field with motor control experience.
• Five years' experience with 240 and 480 volt electrical systems.
• Understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) regulations.
• Must reside within 30 minutes of the district office.
• Must possess a valid California Driver License.
• Completion of a four-year electrical-construction apprenticeship is desired.
• California Certified General Electrician license is desired.
• Water treatment/water distribution certifications are desired (to be attained within 12 months).

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical and electronic control systems.
• Repair low voltage control circuits of all types including motors and motor controls, SCADA equipment, communication equipment, and pump station equipment.
• Adjust, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair automatic hydraulic control valves.
• Install electrical branch circuit conduit and wiring per NEC.
• Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot PLCs and VFDs.
• Document work in the CMMS (Maximo).
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, or suppliers to complete district projects.
• Other duties as assigned.
