Job summary

Utz Quality Foods in Goodyear, AZ is seeking an Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift. You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and facility equipment, ensuring food safety and quality.

Shift hours are Monday to Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM, with some Saturdays as needed. You will read blueprints and electrical schematics, repair PLC controlled equipment, and perform preventive maintenance on a range of equipment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in electrical, mechanical and electronic applications.
• Able to read and work from blueprints, drawings and electrical schematics.
• Must be able to troubleshoot and repair all types of equipment quickly and independently.
• Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs.
• Requires working at excessive heights.
• Required to wear non-slip shoes and appropriate personal protective equipment.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs manufacturing equipment (motor controls, DC/AC drives and controls, frying and baking equipment, sheeters, extruders, temperature instrumentation, burner systems and controls, packaging machines, electronic scales, programmable logic controllers).
• Repairs various types of facility equipment (lift trucks, pumps, fans, air compressors, hydraulic equipment, HVAC).
• Troubleshoot and repair PLC controlled equipment.
• Prepares, coordinates and implements preventive maintenance.
• Completes installation and repair work from schematics and drawings.
• Capable of minor electrical installations.
• Responsible for quality and food safety tasks for their position.

Job Description

Utz Quality Foods is seeking an Electrical Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join our Manufacturing team located in Goodyear, AZ.The E/M Maintenance Tech is responsible to work independently installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining all mechanical and electrical components of production and facility equipment.
