Job summary

Archer, an aerospace company based in San Jose, California, is seeking a MRB/Design professional to support all aircraft build locations including San Jose and Covington. The role focuses on MRB activities, harness design compliance, and collaboration with engineering and test teams to ensure quality and safety.

The successful candidate will have at least five years in MRB/design and experience with wire harness standards, fabrication concepts, and Mentor Graphics tools.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years of MRB/design experience.
• Strong understanding of wire harness compliance requirements.
• Familiarization with harness fabrication concepts, systems or tools.

Responsibilities

• MRB activities at all build locations (San Jose and Covington).
• Build quality checks for all phases of aircraft build.
• Coordinate functional testing issues and HV tests on the aircraft.
• Coordinate DFM / DFA activities for Engineering.
• Lead physical harness upgrade activities if required.
• Coordinate with Flight test group for inspections, repairs and work instructions.
• Assist ME and Technicians with engineering data clarifications.
• Help develop MRB methods and standards for all production facilities.
• Help develop design and compliance standards within the team.
• Maintain strong understanding of harness design compliance.

What You’ll Do:

• Responsible for MRB activities at all build locations (San Jose and Covington)
• Responsible for build quality and checks needed for all phases of aircraft build
• Coordinate Functional testing issues and HV tests on the aircraft
• Coordinate DFM / DFA activities for Engineering
• Lead physical Harness upgrade activities if required
• Coordinate with Flight test group for all inspections, repair and Work instructions
• Provide assistance to ME and Technicians on any clarification needed on Engineering data.
• Help to Develop and implement MRB Methods and Standards for all Production Facilities
• Helps to develop Design and Compliance Standards within the Team
• Strong Understanding of Compliance for Harness Design
• Experience with both 2D and 3D Wiring Design; knowledge of Mentor Graphics Design Tool Suite preferable
• Travel offsite might be needed based on Flight operations requirements

What You Need:

• Minimum of 5 Years Of MRB / Design Experience
• Strong Understanding of Wire Harness Compliance Requirements
• Familiarization with Harness Fabrication concepts, systems or tools

Bonus Qualifications:

• Experience with new product development program
• Worked on or Supported Military/Defense Programs
• Extensive Support for Production/Manufacturing
