Job summary

ICON is seeking an Electrical Manufacturing Engineer to develop scalable manufacturing processes for Titan printer and MCU production at our Austin campus. You will drive quality systems, process control, and cross‑functional collaboration across mechanical and electrical teams.

The role covers NRTL/CE certifications, wiring harnesses, FAT testing, BOM management, and NPI support from prototype to production, with hands-on troubleshooting and mentor to technicians.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Manufacturing Engineering or related field.
  • 5+ years of manufacturing or process engineering experience.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Familiarity with VFDs, servo drives, and wiring practices.
  • Understanding of wire harness fabrication and connector termination.
  • Experience with mechanical and electrical system manufacturing.
  • Hands-on welding, fabrication, and electro‑mechanical assemblies.
  • Strong documentation, quality, and configuration management skills.
  • Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks or equivalent).
  • Strong interpersonal communication across teams.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs and work in a factory environment.

Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and optimize manufacturing processes for Titan printer and MCU production.
  • Develop quality systems including NRTL and CE certifications.
  • Implement poka-yoke controls and data-driven process control.
  • Provide floor-level support for assembly, test, and validation activities.
  • Lead electrical assembly and wiring across DVT and production.
  • Interpret and maintain electrical schematics and wiring diagrams.
  • Install cable harnesses, power distribution panels, and control system wiring.
  • Coordinate with mechanical teams on wire management and interfaces.
  • Lead cross-functional NPI efforts from prototype to production.
  • Mentor electrical technicians during ramp.
