Job summary
Lamb Weston, Inc. is seeking a maintenance technician to perform routine equipment maintenance, electrical troubleshooting, and assist in continuous improvement efforts at our New Jersey facility.
The role involves installing, starting up, repairing, and overhauling electrical systems, reading blueprints, and ensuring safe operation in a high-noise, cold and wet environment. Key responsibilities include evaluating specifications, conducting preventive maintenance, and applying problem-solving
Qualifications

Responsibilities

Responsible for performing routine equipment maintenance and electrical, troubleshooting and solving equipment issues and assisting in continuous improvement efforts.
- Install and modify new and existing mechanical electrical equipment according to installation instructions.
- Perform equipment start-ups, repairs, and overhauls.
- Study blueprints, schematics, manuals, or other specifications to determine installation procedures.
- Test faulty equipment to diagnose malfunctions, using test equipment or software, and applying knowledge of the functional operation of electronic units and systems.
- Operate equipment to demonstrate proper use or to analyze malfunctions.
- Perform scheduled preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, or repairing equipment, to detect and prevent problems.
- Repair or adjust equipment, machines, or defective components, replacing worn parts, such as gaskets or seals in electrical equipment.
- Performs preventative maintenance and modifications to the mechanical electrical systems as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, project plans and technical documents.
- Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose problems and decide course of action to remedy problem
- While performing the duties of this Job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, talk, or hear, use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
- The employee is occasionally required to sit, taste or smell, climb or balance.
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
- Will regularly work near moving mechanical parts, around electrical equipment, and open circuits.
- May work on wet, icy, or greasy floors.
- Is frequently exposed to extreme cold surroundings.
- Is exposed to humid conditions as well as hot and cold environments.
- May be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and vibration.
- Will regularly work in an environment in which the noise level is usually high.

- Ability to perform assigned work independently with minimal supervision.
- Two years of journeyman level electrical experience preferred.
- Four years of food processing maintenance experience preferred.

A reasonable hourly estimate for this role is listed below. Pay Rate or Range: $31.76
