Job summary

ME Global is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician for our foundry. The role focuses on maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems and mechanical equipment to ensure continuous production.

The ideal candidate has relevant heavy industrial maintenance experience or a vocational electrical program, capable of reading schematics and performing welding, piping, and hydraulic work in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. Safety and quality adherence are essential.

Qualifications

  • One year of heavy industrial maintenance experience or two-year voc/tech electrical maintenance program, or eight years of heavy industrial maintenance experience, or completion of electrical apprenticeship program.
  • Verifiable knowledge of electrical systems, piping, hydraulics and welding through work experience or training.
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Ability to set up, install, repair and maintain process equipment and machinery.
  • Troubleshooting ability with mechanical and electrical systems.

Responsibilities

  • Repair and maintain electric, diesel and LP industrial trucks per manuals.
  • Repair and adjust conveyor systems using hand tools.
  • Repair and maintain electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components of production machines from blueprints.
  • Dismantle devices to access defective parts using hoists and tools.
  • Lubricate and clean parts; align and assemble machines.
  • Weld metal components and fabricate parts as needed.
  • Set up and operate metalworking tools to make or repair parts.
  • Maintain good housekeeping and ISO standards.
  • Perform other duties as directed by supervisor.
  • Ensure safety protocols and quality procedures are followed.
  • Comply with plant policies and work instructions.

Electrical Maintenance Technician - Foundry


We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our dynamic team at our foundry. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a manufacturing environment where safety, precision, and reliability are paramount. The successful candidate will play a vital part in maintaining and troubleshooting electrical systems and mechanical equipment to ensure continuous and efficient operations.


Key Responsibilities:


  • 1. Repair and maintain electric, diesel and LP industrial trucks following manuals.

  • 2. Repair and adjust, using hand tools, conveyor systems.

  • 3. Repair and maintain electrical, mechanical and hydraulic components of production machines and equipment following blueprints and specifications.

  • 4. Repair and maintain (in accordance with diagrams, sketches, operation manuals and manufacturer's specifications) machinery and mechanical equipment and pneumatic tools.

  • 5. Dismantle devices to gain access to and remove defective parts, using hoist, cranes, hand tools and power tools.

  • 6. Lubricate and clean parts.

  • 7. Align machines and equipment and assemble machines. Bolt, weld, rivet and otherwise fasten them to foundation or other structures.

  • 8. Weld metal components together to fabricate and repair products using brazing and variety of arc and gas welding equipment.

  • 9. May set up and operate metal working tools, such as drill press or grinder, to make or repair parts.

  • 10. Maintain good housekeeping.

  • 11. Maintain and adhere to ISO standards, including but not limited to, the Quality Policy Statement, work instructions as well as the Quality Control Procedures Manual.

  • 12. Any other duties as directed by a supervisor.

  • 2. Verifiable knowledge of electrical systems, piping, hydraulics and welding either through work experience or internal training program.

  • 3. Ability to understand and follow process piping systems.

  • 4. Ability to engage in setting up, installing, repairing and maintaining process equipment and machinery.

  • 5. Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.

  • 6. Troubleshooting ability.

  • 7. Fork truck repair experience.

  • 8. Ability to use hand tools, power tools, precision measuring instruments and welding equipment.

  • 9. Must be able to perform physical demands of the position, which include continuos standing & walking, bending & crouching, climbing ladders & stairs, working overhead. Tolerate and work in temperature extremes. Must be able to lift, in varying positions, up to 50lbs.
