Electrical Maintenance Technician | Ashland, Kentucky
$36-38/hr | Permanent Direct Hire | Internal Team Role
Mural is partnering with a global industrial equipment manufacturer and service company to find a High Voltage Electrical Maintenance Technician for their Ashland, Kentucky facility. Our client operates a heavy industrial service center that repairs and refurbishes large-scale equipment for steel producers across North America. They are building out their in-house electrical maintenance capability and need someone who can own preventative maintenance on their industrial equipment as well as handle building-level electrical systems when issues arise.
The majority of this role is preventative maintenance -- building and executing PM schedules on industrial machinery including large-format CNC equipment, heavy welding systems, and overhead crane systems. You will also be the go-to resource for building electrical issues: outdoor switchgear, distribution panels, circuit breakers, and anything the facility needs handled in-house rather than calling an outside contractor. The right person is well-rounded, not a specialist in only one area -- they are equally comfortable opening a motor control center and diagnosing a tripped breaker on an outdoor panel.
5+ years of electrical maintenance experience in an industrial or heavy manufacturing setting
High voltage comfort and experience -- 480V three-phase and above; experience with MCC panels, switchgear, and building distribution systems required
Preventative maintenance mindset: you build PM schedules and execute them, not just respond to breakdowns
NFPA 70E and lockout/tagout proficiency -- you work safe around energized equipment, every time
Comfortable working on both industrial machine electrical and building-level electrical systems
High school diploma or equivalent; journeyman electrician background is a plus but not required
$36.00 to $38.00 per hour. This is a firm range with no flexibility. Permanent direct hire position. Ashland, Kentucky.
