Job summary

SSC Services for Education in Prairie View, TX is hiring a full-time Maintenance Technician (Electrical) to inspect, repair and maintain electrical and related mechanical systems across facilities. The role requires at least five years of maintenance experience in an institutional setting and a Journeyman license or equivalent certification.

You will supervise a team on projects, maintain logs and work orders, and support preventive maintenance efforts.

Qualifications

• One year of electrical experience and generator experience are required.
• Four years of skilled trade or maintenance vocational schooling.
• Five years of institutional maintenance experience in an engineering/maintenance discipline.
• Two years of licensed Journeyman experience in the trade.

Responsibilities

• Assists in repairs and reports major problems to supervision.
• Maintains and repairs electrical and mechanical building systems.
• Cleans, services, and diagnoses HVAC and electrical systems as needed.
• Supervises and leads a crew on projects.
• Maintains logs, work orders, tests, and inspections.
