Job summary

HSAGP ENERGY in Kingston, GA is seeking an Electrical Maintenance technician to service substation equipment and control systems. The role covers 25kV/4.16kV systems, alarm status checks, and thermal imaging inspections while ensuring safety and compliance.

Responsibilities include HVAC control, PLC inspections, documentation of inspections, and general facility upkeep with a focus on reliability and safety in an industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Maintain electrical substation equipment and perform voltage/current measurements on 25kV/4.16kV systems.
• Maintain automatic control systems including HVAC valves, PLCs, sensors, and related panels.
• Manage and document legal inspections and logs.
• Conduct facility management tasks including cleaning, logs, and records.
• Troubleshoot facility malfunctions and take corrective actions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

1.Electrical Substation Maintenance

• -25kV SWGR voltage, current measurement
• -25kV SWGR alarm lamp operational status check
• -25kV SWGR Substation thermal imaging camera inspection
• -25kV other visual inspection
• -25kV P/D measurement
• -4.16kV SWGR voltage, current measurement
• -4.16kV SWGR alarm lamp operational status check
• -4.16kV SWGR Substation thermal imaging camera inspection
• -4.16kV other visual inspection
• -Switch gear (Low voltage) voltage, current measurement
• -Switch gear alarm lamp operational status check
• -Switch gear thermal imaging camera inspection
• -Switch gear other visual inspection
• -Mold TR (25kV/4.16kV, 25kV/LV) alarm lamp operational status check
• -Mold TR transformer thermal imaging camera inspection
• -Mold TR exhaust fan operational status check
• -Mold TR other visual inspection

2.Automatic Control System Maintenance

• -HVAC control valve, panel inspection/repairment
• -Steam boiler, hot oil heater, and NMP inspection/repairment
• -Temperature & humidity sensor and indicator (HVAC, process) inspection/repairment
• -PLC and PLC communication/alarm inspection/repairment
• -Portable equipment (instrument) management and calibration
• -Control room HMI screen drawing support

3.Legal Inspection Management

• -Deal with regular inspection of government offices
• -Document/keep legal inspection logs and related documents

4.Facility Management

• -Clean the electrical substation
• -Create and update facility management history
• -Create and update inspection log

5.Troubleshooting

• -Take appropriate measure when the facility is malfunctioning or damaged

6.Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications:

1.Education:

• -High School Diploma or GED (General Education Development)

2.Experience:

• -Little to no prior knowledge or experience
• -(Preferred) Relevant electrical substation utility management experience in manufacturing environment

3.Qualification/Certification/License:

• -N/A
• -Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals in English
• -Ability to write routine reports and correspondence in English
• -Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees of organization in English
• -Basic skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)

• -In the production site: Must wear the company-provided uniform and PPE including safety shoes, safety helmet (hard hat), safety glasses/safety goggles, portable gas measuring device

• Risk of electric shock: Electrical substation(25kV and below voltage level), production facility substation, distribution board, production facility control panel, socket-outlet, etc.
• Risk of high temperature: 104~122°F outside the quarter dryer, hot oil boiler (356~392°F)
• Risk of explosion/noise: Discrete gas explosion in electric room, noise (approx. 65db)
