Job description

Responsibilities
  • Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on electrical systems, equipment, and machinery in compliance with safety, GMP, and housekeeping requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, including motors, drives, sensors, and control systems.
  • Install and maintain wiring, conduit, panels, switches, and other electrical components according to electrical codes and company safety policies.
  • Work as a self-starter, completing tasks with little instruction and demonstrating strong problem‑solving skills.
  • Support production teams by responding quickly to equipment breakdowns while maintaining a clean and safe work area.
  • Perform preventive and predictive maintenance tasks to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, technical manuals, and equipment diagrams.
  • Ensure all work is performed following LOTO, Arc Flash, PPE use, and other required safety procedures.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities, including parts usage, GMP logs, and repair records.
  • Actively participate in audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with GMP standards and facility housekeeping expectations.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement process improvements and equipment upgrades.
  • Train operators and other staff on safe equipment use and basic troubleshooting practices.

Education: High School Diploma.

Experience: Preferred 3+ years in manufacturing.

Required Skills
  • Licensed electrician or equivalent experience strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years of electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing or GMP‑regulated environment.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, PLCs, motors, drives, sensors, and controls.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams and schematics.
  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus.
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, GMP, and housekeeping practices.
  • Strong problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Proven ability to work independently as a self‑starter with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to work flexible shifts, including nights and weekends, as needed.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in varying environmental conditions.
  • Prolonged standing, walking, bending, and use of hand tools.
