Job summary

Haumiller Engineering Co. seeks an experienced Electrical Machine Builder II for our South Elgin, IL facility. This full-time, on-site role involves assembling and testing high-speed automation equipment with 4–6 years of electrical build experience.

Based in our South Elgin location, occasional travel to Belvidere may be required. The position supports the Electrical Build Group with panel construction and troubleshooting tasks. Strong tool use and safety are expected.

Qualifications

Minimum 4–6 years of experience in electrical build and assembly.
Experience reading and understanding assembly drawings and electrical/pneumatic schematics.
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physical tasks as required.
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel and work close to the ground; able to climb a 6’ ladder.

Responsibilities

Assemble custom machinery including panel building and installation of electrical components.
Troubleshoot electrical components, wire harnesses, and plugs using a voltmeter.
Mount control components on electrical back panels and enclosures.
Use hand tools, soldering irons, and test equipment to verify quality.
