Job summary

General Motors is seeking an Electrical Journeyman to support automotive and EV manufacturing operations on-site. You will install, troubleshoot and maintain industrial electrical systems, motors, PLCs, controls and power distribution to keep production running safely and reliably.

You’ll interpret schematics, follow NEC and GM safety standards, perform preventive maintenance and support line upgrades. This role is embedded in GM’s Skilled Labor culture focused on safety, integrity, inclusion

Qualifications

• Experience with industrial electrical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and drawings.
• Knowledge of NEC and GM safety standards and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Install, troubleshoot and maintain industrial electrical systems, motors, PLCs, controls and power distribution to keep production running safely and reliably.
• Interpret schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Follow NEC and GM safety standards in all tasks.
• Perform preventive maintenance on electrical equipment and systems.
• Support line upgrades and improvements to manufacturing processes.
