Job description

E & I Technician Assistant

Job Summary:

We are seeking individuals with a high school diploma or equivalent interested in working full-time, learning on the job, and pursuing their education to obtain an associate degree in Instrumentation and Control Technology.

The successful candidate will receive up-to-date technical training on equipment and systems through a combination of classroom instruction, hands-on laboratory learning, and a paid job at Harvestone Low Carbon Partners to further the learning from online class instruction. Harvestone provides the potential for career advancement within the company and will provide pay adjustments upon successful completion of various training and education milestones.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Strength in technical problem solving based on expertise and experience, and a strong commitment to efficiently achieve high quality results is required. A thoughtful, persevering, self-disciplined approach to achieving accurate, detailed work is essential.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be 18 years old or older
  • Minimum Math Score on ACT of 16, Minimum Accuplacer QR, Alg, and States Score of 237
  • Must live within a one-hour drive time of the plant location
  • Must have a valid driver’s license
Major Responsibilities:
  • Strength in technical problem solving based on expertise and experience, and a strong commitment to efficiently achieve high quality results is required. A thoughtful, persevering, self-disciplined approach to achieving accurate, detailed work is essential.

Key Skills and Competencies:
  • Must apply and be accepted by Bismarck State College
  • Maintains a minimum grade point average of 3.0 while in the program
  • Must complete associate degree within 4 years of acceptance from Bismarck State College
  • Applied knowledge of basic mechanical theory
  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Proficient computer technology skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to learn new skills quickly
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
