Job summary

Origin Mining Company is seeking an Industrial Electrical Technician to support our pulp and paper processing environment. The role requires hands-on experience with electrical, electronic, pneumatic, hydraulic systems, and rigging to ensure equipment run-ability.

The candidate will troubleshoot and repair devices, read schematics, and document work orders. A minimum of 3 years in an industrial setting with motor control, VFDs, PLCs, and 13,200-volt experience is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years' experience required in an industrial setting.
• Knowledge of National Electrical Code and understanding and application of mathematical and electrical formulas is essential.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, and/or replace electrical, electronic and instrumentation devices.
• Interpret blueprints, specifications, diagrams, or schematics to troubleshoot and maintain process control systems.
• Initiate and complete work-orders and document all critical and/or pertinent information on a routine basis.
• Demonstrate motor control experience, VFDs experience, PLC controls & I/O wiring, and 13,200-volt systems.
• Demonstrate efficiency with meters and electrical tools.
• Demonstrate experience with process control systems.

The E&I technician will utilize their skills and knowledge of electrical equipment, electronics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and rigging, in our continuous pulp and paper process manufacturing environment to achieve equipment run ability.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to hear sufficiently to distinguish various pitches of warning alarms.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds periodically.
