Job summary

The Generation Team has an immediate opening for an E&I Journeyman at our West Phoenix Power Plant. The E&I Journeyman will support the safe, efficient and cost-effective production of electrical energy by performing Instrumentation and Electrical Maintenance work.

Writes and reviews work scope and hazard/risk assessment of work assignments. May perform other duties as assigned The work schedule for this position is a 12-hour rotating shift as defined in the Collective Bargaining

Qualifications

18 years or older and able to meet minimum requirements.
High School Diploma or GED; E&I Apprenticeship or equivalent skills.
Must qualify as Electrical and Instrumentation Journeyman or equivalent.
Must have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Read work orders, manuals, schematics and diagrams; enter data in maintenance systems; maintain instrumentation lists and settings.
Inspect and test electrical/instrumentation equipment; analyze data to identify malfunctions.
Remove, calibrate and maintain equipment including controls, PLCs, actuators and sensors.
Install, test and maintain medium/low voltage equipment and protective relays; ensure proper grounding/bonding.
Follow safety standards; perform other duties as assigned.
