Job summary

Ilocatum seeks an Electrical I&E Engineer for a chemical manufacturing plant in Decatur, AL. You will own power systems, arc flash programs, and electrical safety as the Site Electrical Engineer in the Maintenance Department.

The role requires ABET-accredited Electrical Engineering and 2+ years in PLCs, HMIs, drives, and motors, plus facility engineering experience. Expect growth, safety focus, and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
• 2+ years of experience with PLCs, HMIs, AC/DC drives, and motors.
• Experience with low and medium voltage power distribution, substations, transformers, and breakers.
• 2+ years of facility engineering experience.
• Strong organizational, leadership, and project management skills.
• Ability to work at heights and climb stairs and ladders.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the Site Electrical Engineer within the Maintenance Department.
• Maintain and update single line diagrams and arc flash analysis and labeling.
• Act as the NFPA 70E AHJ.
• Specify preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
• Support PLCs, instrumentation, DCS, UPS, and low voltage and DC plant systems.
• Provide maintenance input on new process equipment specifications.
• Support plant projects and long-term planning.

Pay: $86,000 to $110,000 per year, plus sign-on bonus and 8% to 12% annual bonus

Serve as the site electrical engineer at a chemical plant for a global technology leader, owning power systems, arc flash, and electrical safety.

Must-Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program
• 2+ years of experience with PLCs, HMIs, AC/DC drives, and motors
• Experience with low and medium voltage power distribution, substations, transformers, and breakers
• 2+ years of facility engineering experience
