Job summary

Vistra Nuclear Operations Company in Perry, Ohio is seeking an Electrical/I&C Systems Engineer to lead the development of plant solutions and coordinate engineering initiatives for both outage and non-outage periods.

The role requires strong technical expertise in electrical and I&C systems, independent leadership, and effective communication with vendors, NRC interfaces, and internal teams to ensure safe, compliant, and reliable plant operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering required; electrical engineering preferred.
• Experience with electrical and/or I&C systems design at a nuclear facility is preferred.
• Ability to work independently in leadership and mentoring roles with little supervisory involvement is preferred.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Prior experience with ETAP and MicroStation CAD software is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of solutions to system issues for plant operations and maintenance.
• Coordinate engineering modifications including outage work and online installations.
• Act as primary technical contact for vendor personnel performing outsourced engineering work.
• Develop and complete investigations and corrective actions under the Corrective Action Program (CAP).
• Support regulatory interactions, including NRC inspections, and interface with oversight agencies.

As an Electrical/Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Systems Engineer at the Perry Nuclear Power Plant in Perry, Ohio your responsibilities will include leading in the development of solutions to system issues in support of plant operations and maintenance during both outage and non-outage periods.**Job Description****Key Accountabilities:*** Maintain plant configuration control by advocating for the site's Design Bases* Provide technical expertise for electrical plant equipment issues on problem solving and troubleshooting teams.* Prepare plant improvement design modifications that have been approved by the Plant Health Committee, calculations, specifications, technical reports and presentations.
