Job summary

MMR Group, Inc. is seeking a Project HSE Technician for the Martell, NE site. The role is full-time, based on the Martell site, with a 50-hour workweek and a pay rate starting at $35/hour plus a $150 daily per diem.

Responsibilities include safety orientations, field inspections, BBS participation, and incident investigations, with training on-site and adherence to Life Critical Policies. OSHA 510 is required and other certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• OSHA 510 certification required.
• HS Diploma or equivalent.
• 2–5 years of HSE technician experience in electrical environments.

Responsibilities

• Report to Project Safety Coordinator and coordinate safety program tasks.
• Conduct site orientations and safety training per MMR policies.
• Perform field inspections, audits, and equipment checks.
• Assist in incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain records in MMR electronic database and comply with policies.
• Lead on-site coaching and enforce Life Critical Policies.
• Stay current on OSHA, MSHA, DOT, NFPA requirements.

Job Description:

MMR is seeking HSE Project Technician candidates looking to work full time out of our site in Martell, NE.

Responsibilities:

• Report to the Project Safety Coordinator, and/or Branch Office Safety Coordinator.
• At the direction of the Project Safety Coordinator, conduct New Hire Orientation and/or Site-Specific Orientation (i.e., MMR Orientation, Site Safety Plan, Emergency Action Plan, Fall Protection, HAZCOM, and PPE).
• Accompany injured/ill employees to Medical Facilities to ensure proper treatment and Case Management if directed to do so and under guidance from the Project Safety Coordinator.
• Perform field inspections and audits (i.e., JSEA’s, Equipment Inspections, Ground Assurance, safety equipment, fire extinguishers, ladders, field observations)
• Actively participate in MMR’s Behavioral Based Safety Program by performing observations and providing feedback as needed.
• Enter BBS Observation details from cards into BBS Observation Database.
• Assist as needed entering and uploading site training in the MMR electronic database (M-Files) for proper record retention.
• Perform on-site coaching as required and follow-ups to ensure the training was understood by our employees.
• Ensure that safety procedures are being followed by all employees including enforcement of MMR “Life Critical Policies”.
• Correct all unsafe acts or conditions.
• Participate in daily JSEA and Daily Toolbox meetings.
• Work with Supervisors to ensure Safe Work Practices are being followed.
• Stay up to date and current on MMR HS&E Policies & Procedures and applicable regulatory (i.e. OSHA, MSHA, DOT, NFPA) requirements.
• Assist in accident investigations with the Project Safety Coordinator, and/or the Site Manager. Implement corrective actions as directed by the Project Safety Coordinator.
• Inspect tools and safety equipment including arc flash and shock protection before use.
• Perform monthly inspections of Site Office, Tool and Calibration Trailers, including tools, appliances, equipment and safety gear.
• Other duties to include additional HS&E related support not listed as requested by the Project Safety Coordinator and Site Management.
• Attend required and refresher training related to company, vendor, and regulatory compliance
• Must comply with all safety and company rules and regulations

Education and Certifications required: OSHA 510, HS Diploma or equivalent, 2-5 years of experience as an HSE technician in Electrical.

Certifications and/or Licenses

Employee must possess proper forms of identification such as valid Driver’s License or State identification, and a Social Security Card. State and/or local license/certifications may be required.
Certification which may be a plus: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST), Construction Site Safety Technician (CSST), NFPA 70E knowledge

Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred but not required.
