Job summary

MMR Group is seeking an Electrical HSE Technician to support our Ohio sites, based in Johnstown, OH. This full-time role requires OSHA510 and BCSP certifications, with a 58-hour weekly schedule and a pay rate of $36 per hour plus a weekly $625 per diem.

You will conduct orientations, site inspections, safety coaching, incident investigations, and enforce Life Critical Policies. Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of electrical HSE experience, strong knowledge of OSHA, MSHA, DOT and NFPA standards,

Qualifications

• OSHA510 and BCSP certification required.
• HS Diploma or higher; relevant certifications preferred.
• 3–5 years of experience as an HSE technician in electrical environments.

Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Safety Coordinator and/or Branch Office Safety Coordinator.
• Conduct orientation (New Hire/Site-specific) and ensure proper safety training.
• Perform field inspections, audits, and safety equipment checks.
• Enter observations into safety databases and support record retention.
• Coach site personnel on safety practices and ensure compliance with Life Critical Policies.
• Assist in incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
• Inspect tools and safety equipment and support monthly site inspections.
• Participate in daily JSEA and toolbox talks; stay current on HS&E policies.

MMR is seeking HSE Project Technician candidates looking to work full time out of our sites in Ohio. The responsibilities would include, but are not limited to, the following: Responsibilities

• Report to the Project Safety Coordinator, and/or Branch Office Safety Coordinator.
• At the direction of the Project Safety Coordinator, conduct New Hire Orientation and/or Site-Specific Orientation (i.e., MMR Orientation, Site Safety Plan, Emergency Action Plan, Fall Protection, HAZCOM, and PPE).
• Accompany injured/ill employees to Medical Facilities to ensure proper treatment and Case Management if directed to do so and under guidance from the Project Safety Coordinator.
• Perform field inspections and audits (i.e., JSEA’s, Equipment Inspections, Ground Assurance, safety equipment, fire extinguishers, ladders, field observations)
• Actively participate in MMR’s Behavioral Based Safety Program by performing observations and providing feedback as needed.
• Enter BBS Observation details from cards into BBS Observation Database.
• Assist as needed entering and uploading site training in the MMR electronic database (M-Files) for proper record retention.
• Perform on-site coaching as required and follow-ups to ensure the training was understood by our employees.
• Ensure that safety procedures are being followed by all employees including enforcement of MMR “Life Critical Policies”.
• Correct all unsafe acts or conditions.
• Participate in daily JSEA and Daily Toolbox meetings.
• Work with Supervisors to ensure Safe Work Practices are being followed.
• Stay up to date and current on MMR HS&E Policies & Procedures and applicable regulatory (i.e. OSHA, MSHA, DOT, NFPA) requirements.
• Assist in accident investigations with the Project Safety Coordinator, and/or the Site Manager. Implement corrective actions as directed by the Project Safety Coordinator.
• Inspect tools and safety equipment including arc flash and shock protection before use.
• Perform monthly inspections of Site Office, Tool and Calibration Trailers, including tools, appliances, equipment and safety gear.
• Other duties to include additional HS&E related support not listed as requested by the Project Safety Coordinator and Site Management.
• Attend required and refresher training related to company, vendor, and regulatory compliance
• Must comply with all safety and company rules and regulations

Education and Certifications required:STSC or HIGHER certifications, OSHA 30, HS Diploma or equivalent, 3-5 years of experience as an HSE technician in Electrical.

Certifications and/or Licenses Employee must possess proper forms of identification such as valid Driver’s License or State identification, and a Social Security Card. State and/or local license/certifications may be required. Certification which may be a plus: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST), Construction Site Safety Technician (CSST), NFPA 70E knowledge

Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred but not required.

Schedule: 58-hour workweek
