Job summary

Pillar Innovations, LLC is seeking an Electrical Helper to join the Farmington team. The role supports electricians and foremen in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems across industries.

You will work on low and high voltage projects, travel to diverse job sites, and assist with paperwork and safety procedures. The ideal candidate has completed an Electrical Trade School or an Instrumentation and Controls program, or has at least one year of electrical experience, with

Responsibilities

• Assist electricians and foreman with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems.

• Install conduit and cable tray systems.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems under supervision of a licensed journeyman.
• Ensure work complies with codes and safety standards.

Position Overview

As an Electrical Helper, the general role is to work in conjunction with Electricians and Electrical Foreman to install, maintain, and repair various electrical components within customer locations. This individual will be exposed to both low and high voltage electrical applications, and work in a wide array of industries including: Construction, Manufacturing, Power Plants, Commercial, Aggregate, Oil and Gas, Coal, Wind Energy, etc.

The Electrical Helper will report to the Electrical Department Manager and will work primarily out of the Farmington location.

What You'll Do

• Assist Electricians and Electrical Foreman with installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
• Install lighting, electrical outlets and circuit breakers
• Install conduit and cable tray systems
• Troubleshoot electrical problems under the supervision of a state journeyman electrician
• Ensure that all work is completed in compliance with relevant codes and standards
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment
• Travel to various job sites as required
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, and electrical equipment pertinent to the electrical trade
• Assist with paperwork and documentation to ensure accurate record keeping, billing and inventory
• Assist in other areas of the company and perform other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

• Successful completion of an Electrical Trade School Program, Instrumentation and Controls Program or at least one year of experience in electrical work
• Basic understanding of electrical theory
• Experience bending conduit, pulling, and terminating wires
• Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
• Ability to travel for extended periods of time
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Must have a valid driver's license
• Flexibility to work a schedule of four weeks on and one week off

• Wear safety equipment: as per OSHA/MSHA requirements
