Job summary

Luxoft in Chicago, IL is seeking an Electrical Wiring Engineer to design wiring systems for automotive platforms. You will create schematics and 2D/3D layouts of wiring harnesses and define how signals and power are routed between ECUs, sensors, actuators, and HMIs.

The role requires understanding of CAN/LIN/Ethernet networks, voltage/current distribution, and protective concepts, with emphasis on reliability and fault tolerance in vehicle electronics.

Qualifications

• Understanding of voltage, current, power distribution.
• Signal types (analogue, digital, high-speed data like Ethernet).
• Ability to calculate wire sizing and voltage drop; ensure correct fusing and protection concepts.
• Knowledge of vehicle communication networks (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
