Job summary

Cec Companies is seeking an experienced Foreman to lead electrical construction crews in Oklahoma. You will supervise field trades, ensure safety, coordinate with on-site teams, and manage materials, schedules, and manpower to keep projects on track.

The ideal candidate has a Journeyman Electrician License and at least 6 years of commercial/industrial electrical experience, with strong leadership and knowledge of building codes. Travel is limited, and safety is a priority.

Position Summary

As a Foreman, you will be the first line supervisor with crew level responsibility for employees involved in the installation, alteration, addition, and/or repairs of electrical systems, conductors, and associated materials and equipment on any type of project. This is a safety sensitive position.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Responsible for all CEC field trades on an electrical construction crew or project.
• Supervise other employee's quality and productivity in a professional manner.
• Coordinate with other contractors and trades on site to ensure smooth workflow of projects.
• Lay out work for subordinate lead persons and jointly responsible with the Project Manager for having material, tools, equipment, information, and appropriate manpower in the proper place in a timely fashion.
• Manage man-loading charts and write schedules.
• Direct subordinate crew in installation of electrical feeders, pumps, motors, generators, control and distribution apparatus such as switchgear, relays, circuit breaker panels, lighting fixtures, outlets, and related connections and terminations.
• Monitor work as performed, direct subordinate crews, and schedule work according to the pace of the job and other trades.
• May perform work being supervised for either production or instruction.
• Manage office correspondence and administrative paperwork such as official forms, daily reports, timesheets, and safety reporting.
• Responsible for crew or project safety performance. Ensure employees are properly trained or instructed in performance of duties to which assigned, ensure compliance with all CEC safety processes and protocols, investigate or assist in investigation and reporting of any accident or safety incidents involving jobsite employees.
• Perform other related duties as assigned to ensure efficient and effective processes, completion of projects and smooth operation of department.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Current Journeyman Electrician License (must be licensed in TX or a reciprocal state as defined by the TX licensing agency).
• Minimum 6 years’ or more of commercial/industrial electrical experience.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

• Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.
• Must meet attendance standards and comply with late/absence notification procedures.
• Must be able to pass drug and background check.
• Travel up to 15% may be required based on company needs.
• Strong believer in safety.
• Excellent working knowledge of the Building Codes.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment

May work inside or outside. Possible exposure to hot and cold temperatures, in all‑weather elements such as rain, heat, cold and snow. This position also requires work at extreme heights, in areas that are under construction, or in restricted areas such as a switchgear room, manhole, utility tunnel, crawl space, or attic, in confined spaces, and on slippery or uneven surfaces; works on ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, in ditches and excavations; works in and around single and multi‑story buildings with all exposures typical of a heavy construction site, including portable sanitary facilities.

Physical Demands

• Bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach overhead.
• Lift 51 pounds, routinely.
• Constantly move about on the feet.
• Climb ladders of all types.
• Complete full day assignments involving overhead work.
• Transition from employee parking area or street into construction work areas and access all levels of the building, even if the only means of access is by OSHA-approved site construction ladder or stairs still under construction.
• Secure tools and materials from storage areas to complete assigned tasks.
• Good vision, normal or corrected. Color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Good hearing, normal or corrected.
• Identify different colors of wiring.
• Wear personal protective equipment (hard hat, safety glasses, safety vest) at all times.
• Work 8 hours a day, 40 hours per week, and overtime as required and night shifts, as needed. Position may require overtime, weekends and night shifts.
• Work in the presence of customers and their representatives with little or no interference or disruption to the customer while maintaining a professional and courteous image.
