Qualifications

• State of Maine Journeyman Electrician License required.
• 7-10 years of industrial or commercial experience.
• Leadership experience as Lead Electrician or Foreman required.
• Experience supporting or maintaining solar generation systems preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical safety programs, lockout/tagout, and codes.
• Experience with 120V/240V, 480V 3-phase, and low voltage building controls.

Responsibilities

• Lead electrical installation, maintenance, repair, inspection, and troubleshooting for facility, maintenance, and solar-related systems.
• Support operation and maintenance of solar generation assets and related infrastructure.
• Interpret blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and drawings for installs and maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with electrical codes, safety standards, environmental requirements, and policies.
• Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain electrical devices, control panels, relays, conduits, and switches.
• Use Activity Planning to organize work, coordinate labor, materials, and equipment.
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to team members.

Job description

Cianbro Properties, a division of Cianbro Equipment, is responsible for maintaining and supporting facilities across Cianbro Corporation. The Electrical Foreman plays a key role in ensuring the safe, reliable operation of electrical systems across our properties, including building systems and solar generation assets. This hands‑on leadership position combines electrical expertise, planning, troubleshooting, and team coordination to support daily operations and long‑term facility needs. The wage range for this position is $42 to $48 per hour. Compensation will be determined based on knowledge and experience.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate electrical installation, maintenance, repair, inspection, and troubleshooting activities for facility, maintenance, and solar-related electrical systems.
• Support the operation and maintenance of solar generation assets, including electrical equipment, monitoring systems, inverters, switchgear, and associated infrastructure.
• Interpret and review electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and construction drawings to support installation and maintenance activities.
• Ensure compliance with all electrical codes, safety standards, environmental requirements, and company policies.
• Installs, troubleshoots, repairs, and maintains electrical devices, control panels, relays, conduits, and switches, ensuring the proper operation of facility‑related equipment.
• Use Activity Planning to organize work activities, coordinate labor, materials, and equipment, communicate expectations, and ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
• Provide technical guidance, coaching, and support to team members, promoting quality workmanship and skill development.

Qualifications/Requirements

• State of Maine Journeyman Electrician's License required; Master Electrician's License preferred.
• 7-10 years of experience in an industrial or commercial setting.
• Previous leadership experience as a Lead Electrician, Working Foreman, Foreman, or equivalent role.
• Demonstrated ability to plan work, coordinate crews, and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic operational environment.
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills involving complex electrical and control systems.
• Experience supporting, operating, or maintaining solar generation systems preferred.
• Knowledge of electrical safety programs, lockout/tagout procedures, and applicable electrical codes.
• Experience working with:
  • 120v and 240v power systems
  • 480v 3-phase circuits
  • Low voltage systems for building HVAC controls
  • Establishing new circuits in existing buildings, calculating loads, pulling wire, and installing conduits
  • Troubleshooting non-working circuits
  • Building access control systems
  • Burglar and/or fire alarm systems
