Job summary

Pitt Electric is seeking an experienced electrical foreman to plan and direct the work of small crews on electrical projects. You will read plans, monitor progress, and ensure compliance with the Electric Code and manufacturer recommendations.

The role emphasizes safety policies, documentation of changes, and coordination with project managers and trades on construction sites.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years electrical experience.
• Journeyman’s card is required.
• Working knowledge of computers and mobile devices.

Responsibilities

• Plan and direct the work of small crews to ensure tasks are completed on schedule and within budget.
• Read plans, specifications, and submittal data to ensure equipment is installed correctly and per code.
• Process project documents including change orders and daily progress reports; participate in coordination meetings.

Job Responsibilities

• Plan and direct the work of small crews to ensure all project tasks are completed on schedule and within budget including documenting hours worked and job progress.
• Read plans, specifications, and submittal data to ensure all equipment is correct and installed in accordance with the Electric Code and manufacturer’s recommendations.
• Process project documents including change orders, RFI’s, and daily progress reports and participate in all scheduled project coordination meetings as directed by the project manager.
• Follow directions and work productively with project managers, mechanics/foreman, co-workers, general contractors, and other trades in a construction environment.
• Must be knowledgeable and able to enforce company and OSHA safety policies.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years electrical experience
• Journeyman’s card
• Working knowledge of computers and mobile devices such as tablets and cell phones
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Valid Driver's license
• Must pass a criminal background check
• Must pass a pre-employment drug screen
• High school Diploma or GED
