Job summary

CDM Smith is seeking an Electrical Foreman to provide field leadership for electrical construction activities. You will direct crews, coordinate work with project plans, and ensure safety and quality on site. The role requires hands-on oversight and strong problem-solving in fast-paced environments.

Travel up to 40% may be required; a valid driver's license is needed. High school diploma and journeyman electrician experience are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent. Local certifications and licenses as requires.
• 4 years experience as a journeyman electrician.
• Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
• Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Responsibilities

• Leads and coordinates electrical construction activities, including building raceways, pulling wire, and terminating electrical runs.
• Supervises and directs assigned craft workers, providing guidance and resolving technical and field-related issues.
• Tests, troubleshoots, and evaluates electrical systems to ensure proper operation and performance.
• Reads and interprets blueprints, electrical diagrams, and job orders to determine project scope, layout, sequencing, and requirements.
• Inspects completed and in-progress work to ensure compliance with project specifications, quality standards, and applicable electrical codes.
• Develops and adjusts crew assignments and work schedules to support project milestones and construction timelines.
• Coordinates materials, equipment, and manpower needs to maintain productivity and minimize delays.
• Completes daily construction reports and required project documentation.
• Promotes and enforces company safety policies, procedures, and jobsite standards.
• Performs other duties as required.
