Asplundh Tree Expert Co is hiring a Field Technician II in Sugar Land, Texas, to inspect, test, and maintain High, Medium, and Low electrical power equipment. Candidates will work with SF6 & vacuum circuit breakers, transformers, and implement safety policies.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in Electrical/Electronic technology, or have military experience, with a focus on safety and technical excellence.

Qualifications

• Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and complete a satisfactory criminal background check.
• Must have a valid driver's license and maintain a good driving record.
• Capable of climbing ladders and lifting 70 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, test, and maintain High, Medium, and Low electrical power equipment.
• Perform entry-level testing of electrical power equipment with minimal assistance.
• Consult manuals and engineering personnel to troubleshoot and solve equipment issues.
• Prepare and maintain reports detailing all tests and repairs.

Skills

Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Experience with Voltage Verification

Ability to work overtime

Understanding of electrical theory

Education

Bachelors or Associates Degree in Electrical/Electronic technology

2 – 4 Year Relevant Industry Experience

NETA II Certified
