Electric Motor & Contracting Co., Inc. is seeking an Electrical Field Service Technician to join our team in Hampton Roads, Virginia. You will work on a wide range of industrial electrical equipment, power distribution systems, and switchgear while supporting customers across the region.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Vocational/technical training or degree preferred.
• 4+ years of industrial electrical troubleshooting experience.
• Experience with field testing, troubleshooting, and power distribution equipment.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass background/medical checks.

Responsibilities

• Travel to customer sites, typically within a 250-mile radius, ~50% travel.
• Diagnose problems in electrical power generation and distribution systems.
• Troubleshoot, maintain, repair, and test motors, generators, and switchgear.
• Interpret blueprints and electrical diagrams to plan work.
• Conduct IR thermography inspections and use diagnostic instruments.
• Assist with training personnel on troubleshooting and maintenance.
