The Electrical Field Engineer/Specialist provides subject matter expertise within NRG's Engineering and Technical Services group to support the safe, reliable operation of NRG's diverse generation fleet. This role requires extensive knowledge of power plant maintenance and operations, strong communication skills, and the ability to provide leadership and technical guidance to generation facilities. The ideal candidate has significant experience in a utility-scale power generation environment, including inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and replacing critical electrical equipment and systems. Relevant experience may come from on-the-job training, military service, trade school, or university education.
