Job summary

Wolfspeed, Inc. is seeking a Facilities Electrical Area Manager to lead the engineering and maintenance teams for all electrical utilities at our Durham campuses.

You will promote a safety and quality mindset and drive continuous improvement of processes, policies, and procedures. Day-to-day responsibilities include directing staff, recruiting and coaching, starting up facilities systems, ensuring NEC/NFPA compliance, and partnering with other leaders to hit metrics, capex plans, and energy

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited institution.
• 8+ years of electrical engineering experience in semiconductor or critical facilities.
• Expert-level knowledge of electrical theory and systems in a large manufacturing plant.
• Experience with NEC, NFPA, and electrical safety standards.
• Experience in multi-location, global enterprises preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily activities of facilities electrical teams, including leaders, engineers, and technicians.
• Recruit, coach, and motivate staff; provide guidance on problems and issues.
• Start-up and commissioning of facilities systems and equipment.
• Ensure compliance to local, state, and national codes and requirements.
• Collaborate with leaders and facilities teams to meet objectives and long-term goals.
• Contribute to annual operating plans and manage expenses within budget.
