Job summary

Lippolis Electric, Inc. in the New York metropolitan area is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator/Project Manager to prepare accurate bids for commercial, residential, and mixed‑use electrical projects.

You will perform takeoffs, review drawings, coordinate with contractors and vendors, and help manage medium-sized projects to ensure bids align with project requirements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of electrical estimating and project management experience.
• Strong knowledge of commercial electrical construction.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, specs, and architectural plans.
• Knowledge of NEC and New York construction practices.
• Detail oriented with bid deadlines.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete electrical estimates and competitive bids from plans, specs, and scope documents
• Perform detailed takeoffs for labor, material, equipment, and subcontractor costs
• Review drawings and specs to identify scope gaps, conflicts, and change-order opportunities
• Solicit and evaluate material and subcontractor pricing
• Develop labor-hour projections and material budgets
• Prepare bid summaries and review estimates with management before submission
• Communicate with general contractors, vendors, engineers, and project teams
• Maintain organized bid files and track project opportunities
• Assist with value engineering and alternative pricing when appropriate
• Work closely with Project Managers and Operations to ensure estimates reflect project requirements
• Project manage medium size projects when needed

Compensation

$100,000–$150,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications
