Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join our Phoenix-based team. You will prepare detailed electrical estimates, review blueprints, and collaborate with engineers, architects and clients to ensure cost-effective, safe, and timely project delivery.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in electrical estimating, strong numeric skills, and proficiency with estimating software. A related degree is preferred; company truck and flexible schedules are part of the package.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in electrical estimating or similar role in construction.
• Able to read electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, products, and safety standards.
• Excellent numerical skills for accurate estimates.
• Familiarity with project management and estimating software.
• Exceptional communication and negotiation skills for client relations.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Professional certification in electrical estimating is a plus.
• Detail-oriented and highly organized.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical estimates for construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and time requirements.
• Review blueprints and specifications to prepare comprehensive cost estimates.
• Evaluate and recommend electrical systems and products based on cost, reliability, and safety.
• Collaborate with engineers, architects, clients, and contractors on job cost estimates.
• Stay updated on industry trends and material/labor pricing; conduct risk assessments.
• Provide technical support to project teams when needed.
• Monitor actual costs vs. estimates and explain variances; attend site visits and client meetings.
