Kilgore Industries is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to support our growing commercial and industrial operations in the Houston market. This role is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive electrical estimates for negotiated and hard-bid projects, while supporting preconstruction, operations, and business development teams.

Formación

• Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple bids and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of labor productivity and market conditions.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with estimating software (Accubid).
• Experience in electrical estimating for commercial/industrial projects.

Responsabilidades

• Prepare detailed electrical estimates for commercial, industrial, healthcare, aviation, and institutional projects.
• Review drawings, specifications, addenda, and contract requirements to determine project scope.
• Perform quantity takeoffs for conduit, wire, devices, panels, lighting, gear, and related electrical systems.
• Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing to ensure scope coverage and competitiveness.
• Develop labor, material, equipment, and overhead costs using historical data and industry benchmarks.
• Identify risk, value engineering opportunities, alternates, and cost-saving strategies during preconstruction.
• Collaborate with project management, engineering, and operations teams to align estimates with execution plans.
• Participate in bid reviews, turnover meetings, and preconstruction handoffs.
• Support change-order pricing and conceptual budgeting as needed.
• Maintain organized estimate files, takeoffs, and bid documentation.
• Comply with company estimating standards, safety policies, and quality procedures.
