Job summary

Jobot is seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator in Sarasota, FL. The estimator develops cost estimates on routine projects under the Preconstruction Manager, sets up bids in Accubid, reads drawings and specs, and coordinates with the preconstruction team.

Responsibilities

• Set up bids within Accubid.
• Reviews construction documents (drawings, specifications) and understands scope of work to bid.
• Executes take-offs/counts of construction documents on Livecount.
• Obtains pricing/quotes for materials.
• Obtains bids from subcontractors.
• Coordinates with Preconstruction team and Project Managers during handoff phase of project.
• Develops and maintains resource information on products, vendors, subcontractors, government requirements, etc.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients.
• Participates in contract review and negotiations.
• Attends all preconstruction meetings as required.

Job Details

The Estimator is responsible for developing cost estimates on routine small projects under direct supervision of the Preconstruction Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Set up bids within Accubid
• Reviews construction documents (drawings, specifications) and understands scope of work to bid.
• Executes take-offs/counts of construction documents on Livecount.
• Obtains pricing/quotes for materials.
• Obtains bids from subcontractors.
• Coordinates with Preconstruction team and Project Managers during handoff phase of project.
